I mean now it is just getting old. I keep telling him to stop thinking about what someone thinks about you because it does not really matter in the end.

The idea of 'manning up' is ridiculous. It suggests that men don't have feelings or, if they do, they're not allowed to talk about them.
Your friend might have a depressive disorder or anxiety.
Or he might just have the ordinary day-to-day worries of the average person.
Either way, he has every right to express his concerns because he is a person. Humans are social creatures and sharing our thoughts helps us.Health Question & Answer

Your friend should be who he is. For me, I think of other people before i think of myself. I don't care how or what people think of me, I just put their life's before mine. Everyone calls me an idiot for doing this but its like I said, I don't care what people think, as long as they are happy, im happy. Making them happy makes me happy.Health Question & Answer

I hope to god you are a troll. If not, you are just exacerbating an already bad situation. Suggest you act more like a friend, and accept your friend for who he is - emotions and all. It seems to me like you are the one that's the ''friend'' in inverted commas.Health Question & Answer
