Should a person who isn't me turn in a drug dealer who they now know is dealing Heroin?!

Let's look at this from a few perspectives.

National / International :
Will this stop the drug trade --------------------- No
Will this hinder junkies from finding heroin-- No
Will this make your city / county safe-------- No
Will government officials quit taking bribes and allowing drugs in----- No

Now at a personal level:

Will this man become a better more productive citizen while in jail ---No
Will this man's customers become clean -------------------------------------No
Do the police really care about stopping drugs (the majority) ---------No
Will they use this man to better there own careers as he is an unprotectied dealer ----------------Yes
Will a couple people have less access to heroin------- Yes
Can that save a life ---------------------- Yes

Sooooo where does that leave us.? You're call man. We consume half the drugs in the world or so I am told, nabbing this little dude will probably ruin him and help no one. The "war on drugs" was, and still is, a farce.
Then again if you see people getting there lives ruined by this supplier, I guess that is a factor too. Be careful whatever you do man, affected money, power, and the drug flow can get you killed quick in our country.

hmm well none of those drugs are HARMLESS have you not ever watched tv and seen things about those drugs and what can happen with their use.? its a shame when ppl think they are harmless...they use or have other ppl use and they can prove to be fatal...such a shame with so much naivety... and yes the person should be turned in. the supposed person who "isnt you" should definetly do something and save the friendship by stopping the drug use anyway.Health Question & Answer

I would say try to get him to stop dealing drugs by talking to him. If that doesn't get you anywhere, tell him the consequences of his actions and the punishments he could face. If you still have no luck, then give him a last warning and after that turn him in. I feel losing a friend is better than letting him ruin other people's lives.Health Question & Answer

Most of the people who answered this havn't even tried street drugs, so dont listen to them.

I would say no, the dealer obviously is in enough sh*t as it is, and doesnt need to face conviction. But he certainly needs to figure stuff out and all you can do is hope he doesnt get worse.

your telling us you don't think these other drugs are bad..?well i'm here to tell from people that have been in my life i had a friend who did mushrooms.and is now in a mental hospital and he will be forever.sometimes those drugs stay with you from the start and sometimes you have flash backs from them and usually they are not good.so in 15 years when you start screaming around everyone and you get locked up for losing your mind.i guess the other people who know you can tell people just like you about your story.like i'm doing about my friend.full circle.Health Question & Answer
