You would never date anyone w/ what disorder?!

This question has really produced a lot of answers that prove that people are still unaware of what certain disorders truly are. I hope that one day people will take the initiative to make themselves more aware of mental health issues in their communities and lives. A person with any disorder is still a person, regardless of what afflicts them. I would never reject someone because they were mentally ill. That should not matter if you really love them. Usually affection and a close relationship will help someone with depression or anxiety. But not wanting to date someone because they have a mental disorder is like not wanting to date someone because they have diabetes.Health Question & Answer

Bipolar. I had a live in girlfriend that was bipolar and I just couldn't deal with the drama. When she was up she was buying cars that she couldn't afford and running up the credit cards and when she was down she was carving words into her flesh with a steak knife. No mental illness at all. I used to feel like it was mean to discriminate and then I had the person who tried very hard to destroy my life and harassed and stalked my (then) 14 year old daughter and tried to cause great emotional damage to her. Even to the point of telling her that her father's death was "all her fault" and all this from someone who was supposedly peaceful and only had bipolar (obviously a lie on both parts). I believe dating people for who they were ment to be/personality and such.
to be cheesy; "Whats on the inside"
