How can I help my friend who is cutting and taking pills.? She's so upset and it's really bothering me. I want to help her, but i don't know how...Health Question & Answer

You've probably already told her how concerned you are about her, right.? I don't know her, her circumstances, or her age...and you're a good friend to want to help. You can urge her to get help, either through a school guidance counselor, a pastor, or you might want to contact your local Mental Health Office and ask for some guidance on how you can help your friend. You kind of limited in what you can do without betraying her trust, or making a drastic move. It's up to you as far as how dire and urgent you feel this situation is. Can you talk to her parents.? Is there some responsible adult you can trust.?

I know this sounds terrible, but you need to talk to her parents. As mad as she might be at you for a while, her parents need to get involved to get her the help that she needs. That's something that neither you nor any other peer can give her. Or, you can talk to your parents and they can contact her parents if you're uncomfortable doing it yourself. It sounds like you're being a tattle-tale, but you need to do this to help your friend. You'll always regret it if something happens and you sat by her side and did nothing.Health Question & Answer

her problem , tell her about the people who loves her and all
of that remember to never talk about doctors or paramedics

I think the first thing to do to help her is to let someone know. Parent, school counselor, nurse, teacher - this is assuming you are under 18 and in school. If you aren't, maybe a suicide hotline would be able to point you in the direction.Health Question & Answer

Tell her parents and they'll obviously talk to her but tell the parents not to tell your friend that you told. Like make them pretend that they found the blade or knife or whatever.Health Question & Answer
