Question: What would cause a person to breathe through the mouth instead of the nose when sleeping.?
My boyfriend breathes only through his mouth when he sleeps. Does anyone out there know why this occurs.? I don't think he's getting a good quality of sleep and I'm concerned. Is there a natural type of treatment for this without having surgery or taking drugs.?Health Question & Answer

there are these strips you can get called breath right nasal strips. They really help open your nasal passage. also what i do when feel like i cant get enough air is open my window and turn on my fan. The mouth is a larger passage than the nostrils. This means its easier for air to move through the mouth.

he could just have sinus problems causing his nose to block up. i wouldn't worry about it, i've been sleeping the same way for years!Health Question & Answer
