Helium - is it safe to have just a little?!
Question: Helium - is it safe to have just a little.?
I want to suck down just enough helium to create a new answering machine message. But I've heard it can damage the vocal chords.
Not being a singer or even much of a talker I'm not overly concerned.
But is just that little bit dangerous enough to avoid.?Health Question & Answer

For an ansaphone message, you probably won't take any damage at all. Helium might make your throat feel a bit sore, but unless you're practically gassing yourself with it, then you should be fine.
/Don't/ gas yourself with it, though - you will suffocate. And die. And that would be a -bad- ansaphone message. :OHealth Question & Answer
