I was the pill for many years, but recently came off and was able to conceive within four months. I think there are always risks involved when you take chemicals into your body, and I do not intend to ever take the pill again (even if my husband and I have all the children we hope for). I did gain weight when I was on the pill, but it was only about 5 pounds. The pros for me included regular periods, clear skin, slightly bigger boobs, and not having to think about the possibility of pregnancy. The cons for me were that my periods went from being 4 days off the pill to 7 days on (both my sisters also experienced this), and having really heinous PMS. You should consider both sides of this issue before you start the pill, but I think you'll be fine either way - it's mostly about your comfort level and what works best for your body.Health Question & Answer
Birth Control will obviously effect you having a baby, because that is how it works, the purpose of the pill is to prevent pregnancy. A perk of the pill is more regular periods. If you're concerned about having a baby in the future your chances are almost the same a few months after going off of the pill as they were before, do some research and talk to your doc, stick to the lower hormone pills and your chances are even better of conception later in life.Health Question & Answer
Hey. I've been on the pill for a a couple months now.
It is completely 100% safe.
Both me and my sister started at the same time, and all the effects are positive. Neither of us have had an weight gain, it's made our complexions much clearer, and periods are short and light.
It will not in any way affect you having a baby later in life.
I would definitely recommend going on it. If you don't like the results, it's as easy as stopping the pill. : )Health Question & Answer

Just take a low dose pill and you should be fine.
That is what I am on.
The pill actually helps prevent certain diseases and cancer.
It will not effect you having a baby later on in life except if you want the baby now...in which case you should tell your doc.
Good luck :)Health Question & Answer
