When people lose weight, where does all of that fat go?!

You burn it, and if your workouts are really good you convert it into lean muscle tissue. The body uses your food for energy, when it uses up the food you take in it uses stored fat.
So unfortunately what you eat and dont burn gets stored as fat. The goal is to eat more smaller meals that way your body will burn the food and not store as fat.
