Not enough info to make a definitive diagnosis, and you'd need to be examined anyway. I know, this doesn't answer your question. Make an apointment. If you are in severe discomfort go to the emergency dept. or urgent care. When you see your primary doctor tell him your concerns.

I don't know but i have been on thyroid medicine for years and my skin has never peeled! Maybe you have really dry skin and need a good lotion or oil!

Skin peeling can be an indicator of being hypothyroid.it can indicate the dose you are taking is not enough. On the other hand, it could be dry skin or something else. Calcium is a separate issue, it is controlled by parathyroid hormone and the symptoms when it is low in the blood include tingling in the fingers and around the mouth, facial twitching and sometimes cardiac arrhythmia. If a person is not taking enough calcium in, their parathyroid glands will take what the body needs from the bones (this slowly causes osteoporosis). In the case of low calcium intake, you would not have the symptoms of tingling, etc, because your blood level will remain normal. Bottom line - get your TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) level checked! That will tell your doctor if your dose is right.
DO NOT STOP YOUR THYROID MEDICATION, IT IS NOT LIKELY YOU ARE ALLERGIC. JUST SEE YOUR DOC AND GET YOUR TSH CHECKED.

I'M A PHYSICIAN

Stop taking the medication IMMEDIATLY!
Call your doctor first thing in the morning. You are more than likely allergic to the thyrox.

He'll want to see you right away.
If any more symptoms occur, such as difficulty breathing, have someone drive you to the emergency room.
