The best way to get healthy and lose those extra pounds is not to go on a diet. You need to change your way of living and exercise and eat healthy. That is the only proven way to do it. Eat everything in moderation.

I keep a food diary. I write down every thing I eat. That helps a LOT because when you want something unhealthy, you can resist because you don't want to write it down.

Look for books on the "Zone Diet" by Dr. Barry Sears.

Stay away from Atkins as you'll just regain all the weight you lose.

Southbeach is atkins to start and zone diet in the end. If you need to drop like 10 pounds fast and then want to stay on a diet you can try this but depriving youself of the nutrients in the foods you take out of your diet can be detrimental.

eating healthy and exercising, also keeping a food journal. i hate exercising so i do it with my boyfriend. that really helps out. also there are more fun ways to exercise than just "running" or "going to the gym" try bellydancing, pilates, frisbee, things like that.

Meth did wonders for me.

I have never eat much and im sum1 with energy

Atkins is great for losing pounds quick, but they come back. I would suggest keeping a food journal, eating healthy, and excercising at least 30 minutes a day everday.

The best way is not to look at it like a weight loss plan, but a lifestyle change. Drink 8 glasses of water regardless of how hard it may seem and excersize regularly. Eat a well balanced diet. All in moderation. Do not deprive yourself of anything, just be sensible

It worked for me!

I divide 3 meals a day into 4 with same amount of food. Lost 3-4 lbs in 2 weeks.

Yes. I bought a juicer and started to use it 8 years ago. In the begining I lost so much weight that my friends thought that I had aids. I was 170 lbs at the time and I went down to 147 in about 5 months. I also exercised and ate lots of fish and roasted peppers with union sandwiches with my juice. I drank fruit juices in the morning and vegetable juices after lunch. Use whole wheat bread- no white bread. I also noticed that my health increased dramaticaly since I started to juice.

Jay-the original and authenthic juiceman has a real good tape on how to lose weight and gain nutritional value from doing so.

Here's what you do.

Part 1: Exercise, run a mile swim a mile bike a mile, do one of those three two or three times a week. Lifting wieghts, on the days you aren't running biking swimming you lift weights, one day do arms, the other do legs, the other do chest back. Start with just the bar if you have to.

Part 2: Drink water. Drink 100 oz of water a day. If you are a heavier person, maybe 120 or 130. The rule is Half your body wieght in water.

Part 3: Food. Instead of a bacon pizza for dinner, maybe a cheese pizza. Instead of a steak have a fish. White fish is good.

White fish has 100 calories 20 grams protein and 1 gram fat. Thats per serving.

So yeah its fine go out once a week treat yourself to a bacon pizza, but the next day have a salad and some fish. See what I mean? Don't have the fatty foods everday.

On the days you lift weights you might wanna eat the big meatty foods they have protien thats good for you. Piece of chicken. On a day that you swim, fish.

Mix it up.
The point is you are replacing two or three dinners a week with fish.
The reason is that behind the food labels is calories and protien and fat, and you are replacing a big calorie fat meal with one that has less calories and less fat.

So lets see, exercise, water, diet,

Part 4: Less smoking, drinking alcohol, less soda, less coffee.

Bottom line: To lose wieght caloric useage must exceed caloric intake.

Less caloric foods means less calories, exercise means more caloric useage, replacing fat with muscle.

Useing this diet I went from 220 to 200 pounds and it was muscle that I had over the course of about 20 weeks.

YOU CAN DO IT TOO.

The thing with the log, definately a must.

Go now and drink soda no more.

yes.it's called a ballanced diet

If you eat a low carb diet and mix in higher amounts of protein this works great. What carbs you do eat should be high in fiber and complex. You don't have to eliminate all carbs, but reduce them and eat as healthy as possible. Mix in lots of fruits and vegetable, but try to eat fruit early in the day so you can burn off all the sugar. Drink lots of water in addition to this. The recommendation is half your body weight in ounces per day. It's been proven that just changing your regular drinks to water can change your weight by as much as 10 pounds. Also working out regularly in addition to your eating changes will accelerate your weight loss. try to eat five to six small meals every two to three hours. What this will do is cause your body to increase its metabolic rate and you'll burn fat faster. Eventually your metabolism will just stay faster. I did this and went from weighing 205 pounds to 143 pounds. No fad diets or complicated supplements. Just eating healthy and working out.

I USED to be fat

if you work out and build muscle you will burn fat. building muscle helps with your metabolism which will help with burning fat :) and this theory has been proven time and time again. good luck

The human body is a funny thing. It's VERY ADAPTABLE for survival. So when you give it less food, the result is a slow metabolism for survival purpose. That's why it is important to take a break (but stay in control of your food intake) from your diet and focus on eating healthy, balance meals with exercise. This will prevent your metabolism from getting too slow.

Hundreds and thousands of years ago, when eating was a matter of survival, the body would protect itself by slowing down the rate it burned calories (lower metabolism) to maintain weight. In modern society, we have the opposite problem of too much food, temptation and consequent weight gain.

Our body is designed for survival and less food is a threat to it's survival. You must control a slow increase or decrease of food to successfully lose weight and keep it off. If you stop eating or skip meals, your metabolism will come to a SCREECHING HALT.

If you maintain a control and balance diet, you will lose weight but your body's metabolism will finally adapt and slow down. That's why we need to take a break from dieting. If you give up and SUDDENLY start eating
back to your pre diet intake, you may quickly gain weight because of a low metabolism.

this is why i recommend smaller more frequent meals.
Increase Your Metabolism Through Movement/ exercise/ walking at least 30 minutes helps boost it also.
to answer you question truthfully, noone can give you an accurate # because all bodies are different.
BUT if you eat more frequently so your body doesnt go ito survival mode and excercise then you are on the right track and if you can excercise in the morning that increases your metabolism for a while. the more you raise you heartrate the more of a boost your metabolism gets
