Yes, it is possible to spread some STD's via oral sex. Probably the most common STD transmitted this way is Herpes which can be passed to become either Oral Herpes or Genital Herpes. There are two common forms of Herpes HSV-1 and HSV-2 which can be past via oral/genital contact or genital/genital.

Jan. 6, 2006 -- Oral sex raises the risk of a common sexually transmitted disease (STD) called nongonococcal urethritis (NGU) in men, Australian researchers report.

NGU is a type of urethritis, an infection of the urethra, the tube that carries urine from the bladder to outside the body. One of the most common causes is Chlamydia trachomatis infection, yet it is underreported because a substantial number of people are not aware of their infection and do not seek testing, according to the CDC.

If you have oral herpes you can give him them through oral sex. In a very rare instance if you some other STD's and had a open cut in your mouth and he had an open cut on where your mouth was going to be you could transfer the STD to him.

I am a man . I say that such things must be at your choice !

Well I would abstain if you had a cold sore or if he had a break out of herpes. This is a very delicate area and I think if you went to a free clinic they would educate you much better than my little bit of infromation . Then there are always condoms ! Yes you can give head with a good condom on . The thin ones and if you wash it of first you will not get the taste of the condom. Have fun ! Be safe.

Yes, there are a large number of sexually transmitted diseases that can be transmitted during oral sex.

Herpes is common, as anyone who has had a cold sore has had (or has dormant) herpes. If you have cold sores (or even if you don't at the time), it is possible to spread the virus to the genitals of the male and he can contract genital herpes.

HIV (AIDS) can also be transmitted orally.

Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and cytomegalovirus (CMV) can also be spread orally.

If the MALE has a sexually transmitted disease such as syphilis, gonorrhea, or in rare cases, chancroid, lesions (sores), or other infections can appear in the mouth of the female. HPV is also contractable by the female in oral sex.

Put simply, it's important to be honest with your partner and have your partner be honest with you. Although it's scary to think all of these things could be contracted just by one simple act doesn't mean you have to cut sex or oral sex out of your life forever. It's honesty and care to make sure this doesn't happen (STD testing & contraceptives) that will save you in the long-run.

Good luck!
