If I have HVP, can I still get pregnant?!
Question:
Answers:
Yes, you can still get pregnant if you have human papilloma virus. If you have the strain (of the nearly 100 strains of HPV) that causes genital warts, they might grow faster during pregnancy and can even complicate delivery. You SHOULD get the warts treated right away, because they CAN also pass to the baby; in some cases even on the baby's face or in the throat. The warts can be removed at any time during the pregnancy by the use of a special acid solution, by freezing off with a liquid nitrogen solution, or surgically by laser or electrocautery, whatever you and your doc decide. Good luck to you.
