Can a man be deployed if he has nocturnal epilepsy?!
Question: Can a man be deployed if he has nocturnal epilepsy.?
my hubby has nocturnal epilepsy , meaning siezures only occur during sleep. the are controlled by 400 ml of dilantin a day. without the med he will have one after another.
we just always been curious if he registerd to vote coule he be deployed ( if that still holds true that once your registerd you can be deployed) maybe if we knew the answer he'd register...and possibly vote<---doubt that HAHA. thnx for your help!Health Question & Answer

Army gives away waivers all the time for various medical conditions but the condition he has will most certainly put him at the end of the line. However I think you meant register for the draft,yes he does have to register for the draft.Men who do not register could be prosecuted and, if convicted, fined up to $250,000 and/or serve up to five years in prison.The only thing you may get from registering to vote is a call to jury duty. My brother has Grand Mal seizures so I sympathize but when it comes to defending the homeland,when I'm overseas fighting I would expect him to be prepared to defend this country even with a slingshot if thats all he has.
